Myeloma UK works tirelessly to ensure that people affected by myeloma have access to the best treatment, support and care.

We regularly work with policy-makers, researchers and the medical profession on matters that are important to myeloma patients and their families.

Sometimes we need to campaign on a major issue to make our voice heard and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Our latest campaign aims to improve early diagnosis of myeloma and it depends entirely on the efforts of our supporters to achieve this.

The facts

Myeloma is a particularly challenging cancer for GPs to suspect
40% of myeloma patients experience a significant delay in diagnosis
20% of myeloma patients die within 60 days of diagnosis, mainly because of this delay
A late diagnosis can increase complications and anxiety and lead to a decreased quality of life

Campaigners are raising awareness of the symptoms and tests for myeloma by taking 2 or more Myeloma Diagnosis Pathways to GPs
This year we want to reach 4,000 GPs with our Campaign
