• Myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow
• There are nearly 4,000 new cases per year in the UK
• Between 14 - 20,000 people are living with myeloma at any one time
• Myeloma accounts for 15% of blood cancers and 1% of all cancers
• Approximately 80% of patients are over the age of 65
