Services Events Administrator

£17,000 per annum

About the role

This role sits within the Healthcare Advocacy Services Directorate.  Providing administrative support to the Services Events Producer and Events Coordinator, you will be working to ensure the successful delivery and promotion of patient, family and healthcare professional events.

You will be the first point of contact for enquiries regarding Myeloma UK Services events and will be responsible for processing all delegate registrations and confirmations.  You will assist the events team with promotion and marketing of events and carry out all pre and post event delivery administration, including preparation of materials, joining instructions and delegate packs, and will be the contact for arranging transportation of materials to and from events.  You will work with the other members of the team at events held across the UK outwith normal office hours as required to help deliver events.

In addition, you will also provide administrative support to the patient information, healthcare professional and patient and carer support programmes when necessary, and cover for Services Admin Support and reception colleagues as and when required.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in an administrative support role, and will have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.

You will have the ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure.  You will need excellent IT skills with a high level of attention to detail.  Ideally, you will have experience in events administration and be familiar with using databases (particularly Raiser’s Edge).

You will have the ability and be willing to travel and the flexibility to work outwith normal office hours and at weekends as required.
