Services Events Coordinator (1 year fixed term, full-time)

£22,000 – £24,000 per annum

About the role

This exciting role sits within the Healthcare Advocacy Services Directorate.  Working closely with the Services Events Producer, you will be working on the delivery of our patient and family information events programme, helping to develop the strategy for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim of increasing participation and attendance.

You will be organising the planning, coordination and delivery of the programme, including administration, promotion and marketing, event logistics and event delivery on the day.

You will develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, event contacts, speakers, healthcare professionals and attendees.  In addition, you will work with colleagues in the Marketing and Communications team on marketing, publicity and event materials.

You will be responsible for ensuring each event is attended by a team of Myeloma UK employees and volunteers to support delivery on the day, as well as ensuring all events operate in line with best practice and legislation and in line with budget.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of successfully managing, developing and delivering events, and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.

You will have an understanding of the events planning and delivery process and thrive on working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Understanding of the needs of Services Events users and an awareness and knowledge of the challenges myeloma poses for patients and family members would be an advantage.

You will have the ability to travel and the flexibility to work outwith normal office hours and at weekends as required.
