Carmen’s Story

Carmen always made an effort to stay fit and healthy by eating well and going to the gym. However, after a year of pain and extreme fatigue, Carmen was diagnosed with myeloma at age 54.

Carmen wasn’t diagnosed straight away, and it took several visits to her GP before she received her diagnosis. By this stage, 95% of her bone marrow was populated with myeloma.

This Myeloma Awareness Week, Carmen wants to highlight the importance of early diagnosis.
