Myeloma Infoline Service Extension

Myeloma UK is excited to announce our plans to pilot an extension of the opening hours of the Myeloma Infoline service

Other News // 25th September 2019

Feedback from our service users consistently demonstrates how vital the Myeloma Infoline is to everyone affected by myeloma. In response to increasing demand, we have decided to extend the opening hours on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. However, we will still provide the usual services between Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

The pilot for this service will start on 5 October 2019 and run up to the end of December 2019. If successful, we would aim to continue to offer this service.

Kim, one of our highly trained Myeloma Information Specialists will be on hand to take calls on a Saturday morning, but Ellen our Myeloma Information Nurse Specialist will provide the service from time to time.

Myeloma Information Specialist, Kim, taking call on the Myeloma Infoline

The Myeloma UK Infoline is a Freephone service that provides information, practical advice, and an all-important listening ear to everyone affected by myeloma. Each call is confidential and has no time limit.

The team receive calls from newly diagnosed myeloma patients, people currently undergoing treatment, and those who have relapsed and need advice and support. Callers may be looking for information about treatment options, advice on how to manage side effects or emotional support.
