Myeloma UK is pleased to welcome Debbie Gardiner to our team of Myeloma Information Specialists.
Debbie joins Ellen and Jude in providing information, support and practical advice to people affected by myeloma through our Myeloma Infoline and AskTheNurse support services.
After qualifying as a nurse in 1999, Debbie was presented with an award from the Lymphoma Association for ‘Outstanding Contribution in Care and Support’ while working as a clinical nurse specialist in Haematology and Oncology at St George’s hospital NHS Trust in London.
Debbie said, “Throughout my nursing career patients have always been my priority and I have admired Myeloma UK as an organisation who have a commitment to improving patient outcomes.”
“I’m delighted to be able to bring my experience in haematology to the organisation and hope that this will be an added benefit to callers on the Infoline.”
Services Manager Sue added, “It’s great to welcome Debbie to our Myeloma Information Specialists Team. More and more people who have been affected by myeloma are using our support services to find the information they need. Last year was one of our busiest so far and with Debbie’s help, we will be able to support even more people affected by myeloma.”
