This year, our Regional Support Group Events aim to educate and provide networking opportunities for the many Myeloma Support Group leaders and members across the country.

The first of our Regional Events start in Stirling, with subsequent events held in Manchester and Southampton. As well as supporting the leaders, the events will also provide opportunities for Myeloma UK to say thank you to the Support Groups for all of the fantastic work they do for everyone affected by myeloma.

The events will look to help Support Groups to learn more about what Myeloma UK does and what support we can offer. Attendees can expect a mixture of presentations, interactive sessions, time to speak to other attendees and share experiences.

Dr Ira Laketic-Ljubojevic, Director of Healthcare Advocacy Services, Myeloma UK said, “These events allow us to connect with so many wonderful people who support each other through a myeloma diagnosis and at each stage of their journey. Support Groups create safe and friendly local communities for myeloma patients and their families and friends, that make a real and positive difference to people’s lives and experiences. We at Myeloma UK want to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the Support Group leaders and members for providing that support.”

The events will take place in Stirling (31 August), Manchester (28 September) and Southampton (26 October) and are open to all Support Group Leaders and members.

Places for the events are limited. If you are interested in attending, you can book a place by filling in this form or contacting Chris Martin on 0131 557 3332 or by email chris.martin@myeloma.org.uk.
