Want to make the most of spring this year? We have put together our favourite events and fundraising ideas to help you have some fun while supporting the work of Myeloma UK.
Hold a bake sale or lunch
Spring is a great time for themed bake sales and lunches. Get busy in the kitchen and make your spring and Easter inspired creations to sell at work or school. Or invite family and friends to a lunch party at your house and ask them to donate what they would normally pay for a meal out.
Spring brings some bumper bank holidays for many – why not use your Easter or May breaks to clear out the cobwebs and tackle the clutter in your home in support of Myeloma UK? Selling your unwanted items online or at events like local car boot sales are a great way of raising money while also embracing the start of a new year.
Take on a new challenge
Take advantage of the longer days and try something new. There’s lots of active events you can sign up for in support of Myeloma UK but you can always set your own challenges, like taking 10,000 steps every day for a month.
Could you take on a head shave?
Your new challenge doesn’t need to be something like a sponsored run. Many of our fundraisers show support for myeloma patients going through treatment through a sponsored Head Shave. Along with raising money, you can also donate your hair to make wigs for cancer patients.
