Judy Dewinter, President
Judy was Chairman of the Myeloma UK Board of Directors from 2006 to 2019, when she took on the new role of President.
Judy had a successful career in the financial industry, working for a leading stockbroking firm, running their European equity business until she was diagnosed with myeloma, aged 33. Judy has been on treatment for myeloma for much of the time since her diagnosis. Alongside her role as Myeloma UK President, Judy is also the lead governor of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, where she receives treatment and is also a trustee of the Royal Free Charity.
As a strong patient advocate, Judy speaks at national and international meetings and participates on various advisory boards. Judy also prioritises time to speak to patients and their families, knowing from personal experience the difficulty of living and coping with myeloma.
Judy said, “As a patient, I understand the key role Myeloma UK plays in supporting patients and their families and ensuring that patients receive the necessary treatments when they need them.”
