Philanthropy, major donations, trusts and foundations
We’re making amazing progress in the research and treatment of myeloma – but we need to go further, faster. Too many people with myeloma are harmed by delays in diagnosis, and struggle to access the treatment they need.
At Myeloma UK, philanthropy plays a vital role in accelerating progress for everyone affected by myeloma. We can only achieve this with your support.
How your support makes a difference
We are working towards a world where myeloma doesn’t exist. Your support enables our essential work across our key focus areas: preventing myeloma, treating myeloma, and living well with myeloma.
Your support could help:
- Provide trusted information and support, so no-one goes through myeloma alone
- Address health inequalities in myeloma
- Fund clinical education and best practice to ensure everyone has access to the best treatment and care, wherever they live in the UK
- Accelerate the approval of new drugs so they are available to everyone on the NHS
- Invest in life-changing research to advance progress towards a cure and make sure people with myeloma live the best lives possible
- Support new and innovative clinical trial design with the needs of people living with myeloma at the heart

Sir Frank Chapman
“There’s been brilliant work done by researchers and clinicians around the world and that is leading to an extension of longevity for myeloma patients like me. But as we live longer we will bump into new survival challenges. So, until a myeloma cure is identified, surviving will depend upon understanding these new challenges and responding to them.”
Sir Frank Chapman, who partnered with the George P. Livanos Foundation to fund new ground-breaking research to explore the possible links between myeloma and cardiovascular issues.
