Vaccines and myeloma Infosheet

This Infosheet provides information on how vaccines work, the different types of vaccines and the vaccines that are recommended for myeloma patients.

Shingles vaccination
From 1 September 2023, myeloma patients will be eligible for vaccination against shingles from the age of 50, with no upper age limit, using the non-live vaccine Shingrix®. This is a change to the information given in the Vaccines and myeloma Infosheet. If you are aged 50 or over, and have not yet been vaccinated against shingles, you should be contacted.

This publication will be updated with the most current information at the next scheduled review date.
